about

Andrea McHenry

When studying social work at a community college, Andrea became passionate about human trafficking work and seeing women and children trapped in slavery set free. Over the years, Andrea has directly worked with women facing homelessness, drug addiction, domestic violence and sexual exploitation and has 13 years of experience in urban ministry. In 2012, Andrea started volunteering at FREE, where in 2015, she became the Executive Director. Under her leadership, she expanded FREE’s education, prevention and outreach initiatives, as well as led the organization to open a restorative home for survivors of trafficking. Andrea is committed to helping victims and survivors of Commercial Sexual Exploitation get the specialized care and support they need to heal and be restored. As a Christian, Andrea knows, ultimately, lasting and true healing comes through the saving work of Jesus.

“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.  Speak and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.”

Proverbs 31:8-9
