FREE is a non-profit organization in Berks County, Pennsylvania dedicated to fighting human trafficking in our community. FREE works to educate, equip, and empower our community to take action against human trafficking. FREE carries out this mission by focusing attention where there are gaps in awareness and services. We then work collaboratively with professionals, community leaders and individuals, uniting our efforts to prevent and remove human trafficking from our community. FREE is also a part of the Berks Coalition Against Human Trafficking (BCAHT) along with other professionals from our community.
Our main focus at FREE is advocacy. We educate and raise awareness in our community about what human trafficking is, what the signs and indicators are, how to identify at-risk individuals, and provide ways we can all take action against human trafficking. A specific focus we also have is prevention work with youth in an effort to keep them from ever being trafficked or exploited. If you would like FREE to visit your organization, church, agency, school or any group of youth for any of our education or prevention work, please fill out and send the form on our contact page and we will get back to you shortly.
***FREE’s main focus is advocating for those affected by sex trafficking and sexual exploitation***
FREE is an all-volunteer organization and Jesus Christ is at the center of everything we do and the reason we advocate for the oppressed. We believe prayer and ongoing intercession is the number one defense we have against human trafficking, which is why we have monthly prayer gatherings and prayer walks.
As followers of Jesus, we are called to be light in the dark places, and no doubt, human trafficking is a dark place. So at FREE, we are committed to shining the light of Christ where there is darkness. Our prayer is that this horrendous, violent crime against human beings will be stopped, and all those enslaved will be free.
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
